For which Undergraduate / Associate / Graduate programs is the Preparatory Program compulsory? English Preparatory Program is compulsory for students enrolled in undergraduate, associate, and graduate programs taught 100% in English, if they do not pass the Istanbul Nişantaşı University English Proficiency Test (NUEPT).
If my program is taught in Turkish, can I voluntarily enroll in the Preparatory Program? Yes. Students enrolled in Turkish-medium programs may voluntarily enroll in the English Preparatory Program. Although this program is not compulsory for them, it is open to anyone who wishes to improve their English proficiency.
What is the duration and structure of the English Preparatory Program? The English Preparatory Program consists of four modules, each lasting approximately 9 weeks. Each module includes 25 hours of classes per week. The program content and academic calendar are determined by the Foreign Languages Department and take effect following Senate approval. In each module, students are placed in classes suitable to their English level.
Are extracurricular activities offered to English Preparatory students? Yes. To help students strengthen their language skills, the program offers speaking clubs, writing workshops, and various social activities. These events provide opportunities to use English in natural and practical contexts.
