What is Linguaskill and what score do I need to be exempt from the Preparatory Program?
Linguaskill is a computer-based English test developed by Cambridge University Press & Assessment that evaluates listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills.
A score of 160 is required for exemption in al departments. However, students in English Language and Literature and English Translation and Interpreting departments must achieve a minimum score of 170 to be exempt.

When and whr is the Linguaskill exam held?
The exam is held every Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Istanbul Nişantaşı University, Maslak NeoTech Campus – BistLab.
Is there a fee for the Linguaskill exam?
Yes. The exam fee will be displayed when you complete the application form.
How many times can I take Linguaskill?
You can take the Linguaskill exam as many times as you wish. However, the exam fee must be paid for each attempt.
Who administers this exam, and why is it held at Nişantaşı University?
Linguaskill is developed and administered by Cambridge University Press & Assessment. Nişantaşı University is an official Cambridge English Teaching Partner in Istanbul. A fully equipped computer lab is provided on campus for student convenience, but al exam content, scoring, and certification are handled directly by Cambridge.
How long is the Linguaskill result valid for?
Your Linguaskill result is valid for three years.

When will I receive my results?
Results are usualy issued by Cambridge within 3-5 working days of the exam and sent to students as an official report.
