1. Is it mandatory to purchase the books?

It is not strictly mandatory to purchase the course books. However, without them you will not have access to the activation codes and online homework platforms. It is also difficult to follow classes without the books. Since online assignments count for 20% of your module grade, getting the books is strongly recommended.

3. Where do I find my activation code for Cambridge One?

An activation code is a unique string of 16 numbers and letters that can only be activated once. You can find it printed on the inside cover of your Student's Book.

4. How can I get a class key for Cambridge One?

You can obtain your class key from your teacher. It typicaly looks like this: aBCD-efGh. Please note that the key is case sensitive.

5. How do I join a class for Cambridge One?

To join a class with a class key, follow these steps:

1. On your dashboard, click ‘Join a class’.
2. Enter the class key and click ‘Join’.
3. Select ‘Start learning’.

6. Can I get a Richmond iRead account without buying the books?
 No. Richmond iRead is available only to licensed users. Access is provided as part of the university’s official book/subscription packages. You need to purchase the relevant package in order to use this platform.
